Shenzhen-raised star Ruixin Liu, returns to defend her maiden LET title on home soil.
The Aramco China Championship will make its highly anticipated return to Shenzhen from November 5–8, 2026, gathering the world’s elite female golfers at Mission Hills Resort Shenzhen, widely recognized as one of the premier golf destinations in the world.
Co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the China LPGA Tour (CLPGA), the four-day tournament is a marquee stop on the international women's golf calendar, with 72 holes of individual stroke play and world ranking points on offer.
Headlining the 2026 field is Shenzhen’s own Ruixin Liu, who returns as the defending champion following her historic triumph last year. Liu captured her maiden LET title in emphatic fashion on home soil, sealing a three-stroke victory with a sensational eagle-par-birdie finish on the closing stretch.
Defending Champion Ruixin Liu said, "Lifting the trophy in front of my hometown fans, my family, and the next generation of Chinese golfers at Mission Hills was one of the most meaningful moments of my career. Defending this title in Shenzhen means everything to me. The energy here is unmatched, and having both the LET and CLPGA co-sanctioning this event gives our domestic talent a vital global stage to prove what we can do. I can’t wait to step onto the first tee in November and bring that momentum back to Mission Hills."
As one of the world's largest golf facilities, Mission Hills Shenzhen has long set the benchmark for championship golf in Asia, having hosted the sport’s most iconic global events and major legends.
Tenniel Chu, Vice Chairman of Mission Hills Group, commented, "Mission Hills has always been the epicenter of world-class golf in Asia, and welcoming back the Aramco China Championship reinforces our commitment to driving the growth of the women’s game. Shenzhen is a city defined by innovation, ambition, and world-class sporting excellence. In partnering with Golf Saudi, the LET, and the CLPGA, we are thrilled to host another unmissable week of elite competition, welcoming international galleries back to our fairways to watch defending champion Ruixin Liu, take on the world’s best."
The Aramco China Championship has become one of the most compelling weeks on the women’s calendar, and Shenzhen has embraced it,” said Dalya Katoah, Chief Marketing and Demand Officer, Golf Saudi. “Returning to Mission Hills alongside the LET and the CLPGA lets us celebrate players like Ruixin in front of her home crowd, give China’s rising amateurs a stage against the world’s best, and run the grassroots clinics that bring new players into the game. It reflects the kind of impact we want to create in Saudi Arabia too – opening up opportunities, inspiring new players and helping the game grow. That is why weeks like this matter.”
Secretary General of the China Golf Association, (CGA), Wei Qingfeng, has said:
“We are delighted to welcome the Aramco China Championship back to Shenzhen. Bringing leading players from around the world to compete in China not only places Shenzhen in the international spotlight once again, but also reflects the growing vitality and appeal of golf in China. Last year, Ruixin Liu’s victory on home soil marked an important breakthrough in her career and was an inspiring moment for golf fans across China. We hope the tournament will build on this momentum, inspire even greater interest in the game, particularly among young people, and provide Chinese players with valuable opportunities to compete on an international stage, gain experience, showcase their abilities and pursue strong results.”
Broadcast globally across more than 100 markets, the tournament will spotlight world-class individual stroke play, bringing together a premier international field for a high-stakes showdown competing for vital Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking and LET Order of Merit points.
Lihong, CEO of CLPG Tour, said:
“The return of the Aramco China Championship to Shenzhen is something our players and fans are genuinely excited about. Last year, the tournament generated tremendous interest, with Ruixin Liu’s victory in front of her hometown supporters making the week even more memorable. This year, we look forward to building on that momentum. Our continued collaboration with the LET brings world-class competition to China, creates valuable international opportunities for CLPG Tour players, and connects players, fans and partners on a global platform. We are delighted to work with the LET and our partners once again to showcase the growing strength and appeal of women’s golf in China.”
Standout amateur talent nominated by the China Golf Association (CGA) will also be competing, giving the country's most promising rising stars a vital platform to test their game against the world's best.
The Aramco China Championship also brings together partners and businesses from Saudi Arabia and China, using tournament week as a meeting point for organizations investing in the women's game. This year's programme includes executive panels and networking sessions focused on the commercial growth of women's sport.
Away from the competition, the tournament will run community golf clinics at Mission Hills, introducing new players to the game. Growing participation is central to Golf Saudi's work, from its grassroots programmes at home in the Kingdom to the events it supports around the world.
